這次應邀來到越南口腔顎面重建外科年會，分享了正顎手術與關節重建的當代臨床做法。會場上見到了好多老朋友，我們開玩笑地說，今年到底還要在不同的國家、不同的研討會上巧遇幾次？
也許，這就是外科醫生之間，旁人無法理解的同業浪漫。
在「手術、機場、旅館、會場、機場、手術」的無限循環裡，我們樂此不疲。
The summer breeze blows into Saigon. Though ”Ho Chi Minh City“ is its modern name, the city is still steeped in a post-war romance. Here, every industry exudes a sense of rebirth, bursting with vibrant energy.
Invited to the Annual Meeting of the Vietnamese Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Reconstructive Surgery, I shared contemporary clinical approaches to orthognathic surgery and joint reconstruction. It was wonderful to reconnect with so many old friends. We joked about how many more times we would cross paths at various conferences around the world this year.
Perhaps this is the kind of professional romance unique to surgeons—something might never truly understand even by ourselves.
And so, we thrive in the endless loop of ”surgery, airport, hotel, venue, airport, surgery.“
