十一月中南半島的天氣晴朗宜人，我跟Dr. Sam一起來到了金邊跟暹粒做了兩場慈善手術，其中在暹粒是示範性質，一路上也被老師叮嚀我們必須要做得更好。在這裡許多外科醫生看了我們的做法，也都知道在台北才能學到全世界最好的唇顎裂手術，都希望能來進修。唇顎裂手術很辛苦，但卻可以改變很多孩子的一生，可能因為這樣，所以做這個手術的醫生，仍然存在。
In mid-November, the weather on the Indochina Peninsula was clear and pleasant. Dr. Sam and I traveled to Phnom Penh and Siem Reap to perform two charitable surgical missions. The one in Siem Reap was a demonstration mission, and throughout the trip our mentor kept reminding us that we must do even better.
Many surgeons here observed our techniques and recognized that Taipei is where one can learn the world’s best cleft surgery. Many of them expressed their hope to come for further training. Cleft surgery is demanding, but it can change a child’s entire life. Perhaps that’s why surgeons who dedicate themselves to this work continue to do so.
